Hull Painting

Today see the completion of the spray work on the hull, with the top coats being applied.

After a roll of masking tape to allow for the boot-topping line to be applied between the light grey upper part of the hull and the red anti fouling.  The boot-topping is in dark grey and as there seems to be very little information as to whether HMS Hampshire had this line and what colour it was, we chose to the colour as this is more likely to have been used.

Also, the 3D printed funnels and bases have been placed onto the hull just to check the spacing and if any changes are required to the design, but all looks fine and its now onto the preparation of these parts and cleaning away any support material.  After that it will be on to fixing the funnels to the bases and then attaching the exhaust steam pipes which run up the rear of each funnel.
