A Royal Ending To The Story

The story now can be concluded after all the hours of hard work to make this exceptional model with a fixed deadline that could not be missed, as only a few days prior to the event I was told that I would be introduced to HRH The Princess Royal,...

Finally on display

Finally after the many hours work its great to see the finished model on display and to meet with so many people at today’s events to remember all those who lost their lives that day 100 years ago.

Successful Ending!

Well here we are after a long 5 months of work which equates to just under 500 hours build time for this impressive model, and one we are very pleased with! Here she is mounted on the plinth ready to go into the final display case.

Well here we are approaching the end of the build with over 490 hours spent on this project and now its to the last few items, the lifeboats and associated fittings. Once these are installed its then down to a tidy up and check the paintwork for any damage...

Anchors – 3D printed

I took some time out the other evening to draw up some anchors that I printed using the new blend of resin from FunToDo that is designed for the Form1+ printer as this allows me to produce very small items with lots of detail.

Boat Deck Update

The boat deck is nearly complete with the addition of the fittings and the davits ready to take the life boats, all that needs to be added is the derricks in the stowed positions.

Deck Guns

Just a few images of the 3D printed deck guns now completely painted and installed.

Main Guns

All four of the main turret guns are now installed and complete with associated fittings placed around them as shown on the HMS Antrim drawings.
