Rear Deck

The last two days has mainly been working on the two masts, and the rear deck printing out the capstan, hatches and skylights and ventilators.  As the photo shows the items have been placed on the deck ready to be glued into place once some final clean up work is done.

Brass etch ladders have been put in place allowing access to the boat deck, and another etch ladder is being made to go to the top of the aerial trunk once fitted.  Being a tall thin item this will be fitted at the end of the main build to reduce possible damage when fitting other items.  The night buoys have been printed but again being very fine small item it will wait to near the end before fitting on to the hull.

The next job was working on the masts which are made from brass rod, and soldered together to ensure a stable part and to allow for the rigging and cables to be fitted.
