Today sees the completion of the funnels, now with the extra 1mm added to the bases, funnels glued in place and the exhaust steam pipes inserted. After a quick bit of filling and a light touch of wet and dry to clean up the marks left by the supports during the 3D printing process they were ready to spray with light grey, after which matt black paint was applied to the funnel tops.
I used the FunToDo Industrial Blend red for the funnel bases, and for the crispness of the funnel & tops I used Deep Black. Both resins are very strong and once cured correctly become very stable and hard, so will stand the test of time.
